Colour Inspiration 17

After a two challenge hiatus I am back for colour inspiration #17. This challenge was, well challenging! My mother, and fellow stamper, is away for the week and took most of the card supplies along with her. No cuttlebug, no cropadile, no heat gun! I found several times when I figured out my newest plan, I would discover another key element was not available, so my design had many many many revisions.

I tend to overthink my card designs, so having very limited supplies gave me the opportunity (aka forced me) to think simply.

I am quite happy with what I came up with.

colour inspiration 14

Today was a day of firsts for me. I made my first card (see previous entry). I used a CUTTLEBUG for the first time! And now I am finally posting my very first entry for Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration Challenge!

I currently don't own any Stampin' Up! supplies, but I read in a previous challenge that it is fine to just match up colours as best as you can, so that is what I did!
The base card stock really is closer to "river rock" than it looks in the picture.

On a side note, I think I need some of those Johnny Cupcakes t-shirts!

My awesome cousin Kaitie gave birth Sunday night to a beautiful baby boy.

I made this card for her and her new son (my soon to be Godson) Cooper.
