Eye Spy ... Something I Shouldn't Eat But Do Anyway

All You Can Eat Sushi.

Somewhere deep down inside of me I know that All You Can Eat doesn't mean eat all you possibly can until you are in pain. I know this, yet every time we go I feel I haven't gotten my money's worth until I've eaten so much spider maki I have to be rolled from the establishment.

Eye Spy ... My Karaoke Masterpiece

Ah music. If I could randomly burst into song any time of the day without getting strange looks I probably would. This week I had the pleasure of coming up with the theme for Eye Spy, so I chose to find out what other bloggers like to sing along to.
Here are mine:

Favourite song to sing at karaoke:

Favourite song to sing playing SingStar:

Favourite song to sing in the shower:

Favourite song to sing while getting ready in the morning:

Rock on.

Eye Spy an Eye Spy Theme

The lovely Cindy over at bugandpop has asked me to come up with this week's Eye Spy theme!

I want to know your karaoke song! If you were at a karaoke bar right now and could belt your little heart out to any tune in the world what would it be? Or if singing in public isn't your thing, what is your favourite song to rock out to in the shower, or in your car, or vacuuming the floor?
The one song that when you hear it on the radio you can't help but sing at the top of your lungs (with or without your own choreography.)

Eye Spy... What I Am Reading Now

I always seem to have more than one book on the go at once. Here are the books that I am working my way through at the moment:

Eye Spy... something that makes me laugh

Ever since it aired a few weeks ago I can't stop watching Robert Webb's performance of Flashdance on Let's Dance for Comic Relief.

Simultaneously hilarious, disturbing and actually quite impressive.

Eye spy... something that makes me HAPPY!

Please recall, a few posts back when I blogged about my Evening With Kevin Smith experience I wrote:

As was NOT expected, my seats were AMAZING, and not only was Kevin joined by (the newly married) Jason Mewes but EDGAR WRIGHT -one of my film making heroes- was there to introduce the show.

Unfortunately, I didn't get any photos of Edgar since I was still feeling out the place and whether or not their "no photography" rule was enforced or not, but I will not rest until I get a photo of (or preferably with) that man.

After an amazing night last night of watching Edgar host a double feature of Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz and give a Q&A at the Bloor Cinema, I got to meet my favourite director.

There's always a fear in meeting one's heroes that they will not live up to your wild expectations of them, but what makes me especially happy is that Edgar is even more awesome in person and I had hoped he'd be.

How's that for a slice of fried gold?

Eye Spy... Something Delicious

The holidays introduced me to the wonder of Ferrero Rondnoir- sort of like the dark chocolate cousin of Ferrero Rocher.
I now find myself completely addicted to these little beauties.

Eye Spy... A Small Object

This week's theme is from The Crafty Librarian. I also enjoy mini-things, so here is a small selection of small objects from my pad!

Eye Spy.. A Small Object
Ah Sea Monkeys. I really love raising sea monkeys. The ultimate mini-pets. I haven't hatched these ones yet because I want to have them during a time when I am less busy so I can really enjoy them. This set also has a watch-like arm band where you can take your favourite monkeys with you? Bizarre and intriguing!

Eye Spy.. A Small Object
Slow cookers are amazing. Minimal prep, minimal cleanup. Just pop your food in in the morning and come home to an awesome smelling place and some amazing grub. I am so in love with my mini-slow cooker. It's the perfect size since I am usually cooking for just me. Tonight I'm cooking up a mini-pot roast and there'll be leftovers for lunch tomorrow!

Eye Spy.. A Small Object
And now on to my favourite mini-things. I collect action figures. These are just a few of my ever growing collection. It's probably one of my favourite shelves. In the back are my Shaun and Ed at the Winchester set from Shaun of the Dead. Beside them is Housewares Ash from Army of Darkness. In front of him is my diecast Boba Fett. Finally there are my 10th Doctor and mini remote controlled K-9.

And just because I love him so much, here's a close up of K-9.

Eye Spy...My best memory of 2008

Day 175

Without a doubt my best memory of 2008 was spending August working on a movie set.
I had the amazing privilege of getting my first feature film job as Assistant On-Set Props for the upcoming horror/comedy Silent But Deadly. The movie stars some familiar faces: Jason Mewes (Clerks, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, Zack and Miri Make a Porno), Jordan Prentice (In Bruges, Weirdsville), Patrick McKenna (Traders, The Red Green Show) and William Sadler (Roswell, The Shawshank Redemption).
Even with its stressful times, I had an absolute blast start to finish. I got to work with amazing people in field, not only made connections but made friends for a lifetime and learned more than I could have ever imagined.

AND I got to fling blood around! Best summer job ever.

I even have my own IMDb page now!

Eye Spy Something in My Garden

I have a new game for Sundays!
After the end of This Is..., the lovely Cindy over at bugandpop took up the torch of hosting a new meme to fill the blogging void in our Sundays.

Eye Spy is a game where a new blogger is assigned every week to choose something for the rest of us to "spy". This week the theme is "Eye Spy Something in My Garden" brought to us by Curlypops.

I live on the 18th floor of an apartment building and at the moment my plant stand is empty as it is far too cold and snowy out now for my balcony garden. However there is a gorgeous bit of nature that graces me with its presence every evening as I work on my trusty laptop.
