A Sensible Woman

There is nothing so wrong
in this world that
a sensible woman
can't fix in the
course of an afternoon.
Jean Giraudoux

Saturday, March 6th I took part in my local Zonta Club's "Card Making Extravaganza". It was a full day of learning new card making techniques! Also, as with all of their "extravaganzas" there is an opportunity to take part in a card contest. All attendees are given the theme ahead of time, and you have the option to make a card and bring it to be judged anonymously by all the other attendees.

Since it was the Saturday just prior to International Women's Day, the theme was "women and strength".

And guess what? My card won second place!

Crafty Update

It's been hard lately to find time to sit down and do anything crafty what with school, trying to find an internship and working on three different short films at once. However, I got some me-time last night and put together my first card in a while for a special someone's birthday.

I can't show it to you yet, in case she is reading this blog, but I'll put up some pictures as soon as I get word that she received it in the mail.

I CAN tell you that everything I used was brand new. I took them all out of their packaging as I was putting the card together. Most excitingly I used Glossy Accents and Stickles for the first time! And I think I am in love!
